Active Aging Exercise Fitness Classes

As we enter our forties, we begin to lose muscle mass, endurance and flexibility. This loss can adversely affect our weight, balance and bone strength, ultimately causing us to lose our independence and mobility. Fortunately, muscle mass can increase at any age, through proper exercise!

Cognitive function also decreases as we begin to age. Fortunately, research shows that neurons actually increase in number, after just a few weeks of regular exercise! Proper cognitive function is also likely to lead to better, more positive mood.

Yes, modern medicine certainly has us living longer now. But as we age, it becomes ever more important for us to maintain our cardiovascular health, strength and flexibility, in order to maintain our quality of life.

You’ve worked hard all your life. Now, it’s time to have some fun!

Whether you’re looking for one-on-one training, or you are a member of a senior activity group, certified senior adult fitness instructor, Jeff Miller, will lead you through a variety of challenging yet enjoyable fitness exercises. Through cardiovascular exercise, resistance (strength) training, flexibility and balance exercises, our fitness training classes are specifically designed to help older adults increase muscular strength and range of motion.
